When Sarah Drews Walton was working in New York, Chicago and DC, she worked as an art director for magazines including Harper’s, Art and Antiques, Art & Auction, The Washingtonian andChicago. She has worked as a graphic designer for anyone who would hire her which includes a wide variety of companies such as ABC Network News, NBC Network News, Elizabeth Arden Cosmetics, Hilton Hotel and RIT Easter egg dye kits.
She has done illustrations for friends’ books, The Washington Post, and many covers of the New Republic Magazine. She designed, illustrated and produced twelve books, teaching guides and materials for Language Odyssey, a company that taught Spanish and French in elementary schools.
Because of her wonderful husband she was able to retire early and devote her time to oil painting, cooking, sewing, gardening and generally trying to make things more pleasant for the people and animals around her. She aspires to be more athletic in the future.
